Administration Seeks to Protect Cyber Security

Unidentified hack discovered in December highlights need for improved defenses.

In December of 2020, the software utilized by nine U.S. government agencies and 100 private companies was hacked, making all of their data and emails easily accessible to the hacker. The White House is currently drafting an executive order to plug holes in the system and plans to increase the funding of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency.

Representative Jim Langevin, co-chair of the Congressional Cybersecurity Caucus, said of the severity of the issue, “Our cyber infrastructure is every bit as important as our roads and bridges. It’s important to our economy. It’s important to protecting human life, and we need to make sure we have a modern and resilient cyber infrastructure.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency as they tackle their biggest project to date.
  • For God to lead the president’s administration as they work to prevent future cyber breaches.
  • That Congress would be diligent in the passing of bills that address cybersecurity.
